    Can I use a Carbonite Black Solo All In One to contol another Carbonite Black Solo All In One? I.E. control the mini MEs of the main switcher by the second. Or can it on be done only with a remote panel (CB9)?

    Correct -- the Solo does not "talk" out of the system as it is not a network panel but a direct connected serial panel. You will need a CB9 panel.

    Could you write custom controls on Solo 1 to trigger GPI calls to Solo 2 to do that?

    You could setup a RossTalk device (link it to any input) then you could build custom controls that send the CC command to the other solo to run those CCs that were programmed on it.

    Only issue there is that based on this workflow put forward seems they want to have full control and not just some triggers.
