  • 1.  RossTalk XPT command with Preview Bus

    Carbonite Plus Version: 9.1.0.11223

    Hi,

    I was messing with the RossTalk with the Carbonite over ethernet and for some reason it looks like the 'XPT' command works for the program bus for each ME, but not the preview bus.

    The following command works:

    'XPT ME:1:PGM:IN:6'

    It hard cuts to inputs 6 on ME1

    but the following doesn't:

    'XPT ME:1:PV:IN:6'

    This doesn't change the preview to input 6 for ME1. It seems to do nothing.

    I'm pretty sure I'm following the syntax correctly, unless I'm missing something in the documentation.

    I was planning on using this for an upcoming show next week, but seems like it might not be possible at this rate.

    Nevermind. You can close this thread.

    I figured it out. It's not 'PV' it's 'PST (for Preset bus). The documentation is wrong in the 9.1 RossTalk Commands PDF.

    The Doc is not "wrong" it is showing you how to select an ME PV as a "source" on a Bus.

    It does not list the background buses for Bus assignments.

    It is confusing -- will try to get it updated for version 10.
