  • 1.  Version 12.4 and device settings on inputs

    Hi,

I'm experiencing an issue since upgrading from version 12.0 to version 12.4. I did a straight upgrade, so I don't know if that's the problem, or there's a bug. Basically, any devices that we have attached to an input does not get triggered when we switch to it with roll clip turned on after boot up. It worked perfectly before the upgrade. To get it working, each time I start the Carbonite up, I have to go into the inputs menu (on the panel, because I can't see where to set this in Dashboard), and reselect the appropriate device. The setting is there on start up, but it doesn't do anything until I reconfigure it. This reminds me of an identical problem I had with GPIs back on version 7.1.

Is this a problem with my upgrade path, or is this a bug?

    James.

BTW, the device I'm using is a RossTalk device.

This should be working fine. However the device does have a default setting of Roll Clip to Off for RossTalk. Basically in the option menu you are able to tell it to "Ignore" the Roll Clip button and your also able to set the Command.

Further we added a new Subtype. So you have options for Generic and XPression. You might want to configure all of these again and then Save All.

What device is it that your controlling?

It's just a Dashboard panel that's running a KiPro. Each time I've reconfigured it, I've done a save all. It still forgets it.

What sub type are you using now? Have you tried the Generic type which has reduced commands? And then saved?

The issue is just the "Input" assignment to device -- If you do nothing with Device Configuration and you go to the Input config. Even though it shows the device as assigned what you would do is edit that and then assign it again. Now it will work.

We are looking into this now and see if we can get it and the ME Colour offset bug fixed and then thrown into a release quickly.

Yep, you got it. Thanks for sorting this out.
