How do I save a MiniME on a Carbonite Black? And how many different settings can I save per MiniME?

I am still having trouble storing the MiniMEs. I am trying to store two different 2-box effects. Each has either 2 cameras or 1 camera and Crossfire... both over a different color background. I store the first effect on MiniME2 and everything looks fine. But when I store the second effect on MiniME3, that effect looks fine, but I lose the second box on MiniME2. When I go to fix that and re-store it, then I lose the second box on MiniME3.

Hi Walter, What you have described is that you have used up all your DVEs and your recalls are stealing DVE resources. Open Dashboard and look on the status page, here you will see how many DVE's you have and where they are allocated, you have to decide which ones to turn off if they are all shown as in use so that you have enough free for your recalls.

It is telling you that your using all 8 channels of the DVE. So yes any time you try to add another DVE it will have to take it from another ME or MiniME that it sees as off air. You seem to have the ME 2 Transition Area Set to DVE as Well. So if your not actually using a DVE transition then that would be the best place to free up a DVE resource -- set the ME trans area to Dissolve

Since I am not using the 3 effects back to back, should I just set them up on one MiniME and store them under different numbers? Also, the video I watched on MiniMEs did not have the same switcher. You were entering numbers on a keypad to the right of the buses. I assume I should be using the ME1 & 2 Store and Recalls at the top of the switcher. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. My apologies for all the basic questions, but I was never trained on the Carbonite, so I'm kinda flying blind.

So for the MiniMEs to store them -- if you don't have the panels that have keypads -- it might be easier to just use the Memory pages in the DashBoard UI. Other wise you would need to Hold the Store Button (either one of the ME buttons will do) then the Key Bus will shift to a Includes Selection Row. Now you can use the buttons to enable the MiniME you want to store to. Then disable the MEs that you don't want. Just note that you need to have something Lit up. So you can turn off the MEs first and then enable the MiniMEs.. Anytime you go to "zero" includes it will turn the ME includes back on. So enable MiniME you want first then disable the MEs.

Yes if your going to use there effects in the way you say then no reason to tie up 2 MiniMEs just use multiple Memories on one of them.
