    Hi Charles,

What is happening is that the "Database" is actually on that USB. So when you pull the USB then plug it back in there is an initialization that takes place and the "old" database and the cache are flushed so that we can start the new cache.

If it is the same USB and you are just trying to add new files you can do this over FTP. just open an FTP client to the switcher ftp://ipaddress of the switcher. User the username user and the password password. Then you can select the USB folder and it is now mounted as a network drive and you will be able to drag and drop files onto it without having to remove the drive. Also this is gigabit ethernet connection so it is very Fast.

But let me know if the the switcher have an a disk inside that we can load everything there and leave in that disk.

I ask you because that in the menu the switcher has a INTERNAL 0 and we can change to INTERNAL 1 them I need to know if that is a disk that we can upload the files there or that is only as reference.

And finally let me know if can I put a disk in the USB port and leave that there all the time and use this as my disk for my files

    There is no "Internal Disk"

The Internal (0) that you see in the menu is some Flash that we have inside the switcher that allowed us to load some sample images so that we would be able to have colour bars and other test samples available on the switcher. The USB port is to be used as the Systems "Hard Drive" And it is External (1) as there is no Internal (1). that is why it is in the frame and allows you to chose the size of drive you would like. This is available over the network connection as FTP so it just sits on the network. That would be you system drive to load everything to -- over the network.

There are only 6 FSFC. There is no way to add more to the system.

However they can be used in BUS modes. So you can assign 2 to the PGM/PST bus and now you will be able to select any source and if it needs Format Conversion this will be enabled on the fly, otherwise it will have the Frame Sync only applied to all the sources. You will be able to even hot cut as the system will do a "switch" under to PST for you, there will be a "flash" on the PV output but the PGM output will always be seamless.
