  • 1.  Can we use MediaWipe function in Carbonite 4K mode?

A customer would like to use Carbonite Black for Sports events.
They like the MediaWipe function in HD mode.
Can we use MediaWipe function in Carbonite 4K mode?
If not, do we need to use XPression for the MediaWipe transition?

BTW, there are 8GB storage inside Carbonite, is it shared by two MediaStores dynamically? or 4GB for MediaStore 1 and other 4GB for MediaStore 2?

    HI,
In 4K mode you will not be able to do a MediaWipe as there are not enough channels (you would need 8 channels 4 Video and 4 Alpha). You would need to use an XPression 4K or similar device to supply enough channels of Video and Alpha across the entire raster (so full 4K with 4 Video and 4 Alpha connections).

There is 4 GB of Media 1/3 and 4GB for Media 2/4

So, I cannot load a Targa sequence in 3840x2160 resolution to M2?

No you can not -- the Media stores are a 1080 Raster. In 4K mode your doing Quadrant based switching.
