After installing Ver. 8 on our two Carbonite switchers I found a little, I think, UDF (Unexpected Design Feature). Without any DashBoard programs open both switchers would randomly execute CC-101. For me that custom control on both switchers was a slide presentation which looped. This CC was made with either Ver. 5 or 6. This happened three times while in service and our screens started showing the slides. To cure this problem I deleted both Custom Controls on both switchers, set the switchers to factory default, turned them off then back on, and then loaded my set ups back into the switchers. Since then I have not had a problem. I remembered several years ago working for a different manufacturer we always did this when upgrading a switcher. So soon we forget. What really cured the problem I do not know since I did the all at once. I just pass this along. It really does not hurt to do this when upgrading the switcher.

    Hi Robert,

We actually found a couple of control bugs in version 8.0 that have now been addressed. We have just released version 8.0.2 on our website which contains a bug fix that you should download. It doesn't change any features but addresses potential erroneous control panel commands.

Can you go from 8.0 to 8.2 or do you need to upgrade to 8.1 first?

Is there a whitesheet (release notes) that tells what the version update does?

Hi Gordon, best to wait an hour or so as that download link is broken. Yes you can go straight from 8.0 to 8.0.2, there is no whitesheet as nothing has changed operationally. It is simply a bug fix.

I can tell you what it fixes: 1. Input settings lost on power recycle - fixed in Ver 8.0.1 2. Intermittent and occasional erroneous commands sent from panel - fixed in 8.0.2.
