I would like to have my replay graphic bug appear each time i select the replay input without manually keying it on.

    What is the method?

Where's the graphic coming from? You should be able to write a macro triggering the key with the cut/trans to the replay...

Are you building a Custom Control that runs the Replay Wipe effect? You can always add it to that Macro to Key it on.

    Hi Peter,

Are you using MiniME's? If so you can simply assign the bug to a MiniME key2 and set the replay source as the background. Then you can call the MiniME as your replay source and it will always have the bug. If necessary you can rename the MiniME in dashboard and call it something more obvious like 'Replay' :).

Peter, here is how I do it:

First a couple of things to know:

1.) The "SCOREBUG" is an external device, sometimes it is CG2, depends on the show or if the BUG fails to operate properly.

2.) I use Emems to cut my cameras on MLE2 (PGM) - When I store the Emem the Keyers are Key 1 - CG 1 (OFF), Key 2 - CG 2 (OFF), Key 3 - BUG (ON), Key 4 - Xpression (OFF). M/E Trans Rate is 10 frames

3.) I store each each camera to their corresponding number on the keypad.

    IE (Bank #0 Emem# 1 - Cam 1, Emem#2 - Cam#2...and so on)

4.) On Bank #1 - I store all the cameras as above but have the keyers are set as:

this is my 'emergency scorebug' scenario --- NOTE Key 3 changed ---

    Key 1 - CG 1 (OFF), Key 2 - CG 2 (OFF), Key 3 - CG2 (ON), Key 4 - Xpression (OFF).

5.) We run the Media Player(s) and the Xpression audio through an AJA then the AJA output goes to the audio mixer. Aux 5 is used to route the various signals to the AJA

    NOTE:

Assign each specific media store/player as an ANC data source (that is the embedded audio) to the MultiViewer outputs. (via dashboard is the easiest way)

    MV1 (MultiViewer 1) = Media Player 1

    MV2 (MultiViewer 2) = Media Player 3

6.) Media Player 3 - Used to recall the 'watermark' TGA file artwork from the USB attached to the switcher.

7.) The Replay ON / OFF artwork comes from the Xpression

8.) I manually select which tape deck I am going to replay on PST.

:01 sec REPLAY ON CUSTOM CONTROL:

    AUX 5 - Xpression

Xpression "“ (LOAD clip to be used)

    Pause 5 frames

    M/E2 Key 4 - Xpression (I re-select the source as Xpression)

    M/E2 Key 4 "“ ON

    Xpression "“ RUN command

    Pause 15 frames

    M/E 2 CUT

M/E2 KEY 3 - MediaPlayer 3 (Load 'watermark' TGA file)

    Pause 15 frames

    M/E2 Key 4 "“ OFF

:01 sec REPLAY OFF CUSTOM CONTROL:

    AUX 5 - Xpression

Xpression "“ (LOAD clip to be used)

    Pause 5 frames

    M/E2 Key 4 - Xpression (I re-select the source as Xpression)

    M/E2 Key 4 "“ ON

    Xpression "“ RUN command

    Pause 15 frames

    M/E 2 CUT

    M/E2 KEY 3 - SCOREBUG

    Pause 15 frames

    M/E2 Key 4 "“ OFF

    'EMERGENCY 'SCOREBUG' SCENARIO

I copy ALL my Custom Controls from M/E2 Bank 1 (normal operation) to Custom Controls from M/E2 Bank 2 (EMERGENCY operation) to the same locations --- I edit the Replay OFF Custom.

:01 sec EMERGENCY REPLAY OFF CUSTOM CONTROL:

    AUX 5 - Xpression

Xpression "“ (LOAD clip to be used)

    Pause 5 frames

    M/E2 Key 4 - Xpression (I re-select the source as Xpression)

    M/E2 Key 4 "“ ON

    Xpression "“ RUN command

    Pause 15 frames

    M/E 2 CUT

    M/E2 KEY 3 - CG2

    Pause 15 frames

    M/E2 Key 4 "“ OFF

Either operational state I am in --- ONLY Key 3 source is changed. (that is where I 'watermark' my replays)
