  • 1.  Carbonite Upgrade Ver. 6.1.0 to Version 10.0.2

    Hello,

    Quick question. If my carbonite is running Version 6.1.0 can I do an upgrade straight to the latest version 10.0.2? or do I have to install the previous version as well? Version 7.0, 8.0, etc..

    You can upgrade right to version 10. You do not need to incrementally upgrade.

    Since you are running 6.1.0 I am betting you have an older Carbonite. It's possible you have a Carbonite chassis with a specific type of RAM in it. This will prevent you from downgrading to anything below 6.1.1 (so you couldn't go back to your original version in the unlikely event something goes wrong).

    When you perform the Carbonite upgrade please give yourself lots of time to test the new software. You may want to reach out to Tech Support (techsupport@rossvideo.com) and get a copy of the 6.1.1 software just in case you need to downgrade.
