Production Switchers

User buttons were assiged for ME selection between ME1 and MiniME 1-4 on the Carbonite Switcher.

Yesterday, it was found that when press ME1 user button, the ME1 select key lost, there were only MiniMEs keys and MultiScreen keys for selection. Please find the attached photo. The user button "ME1" is working normally, as when pressing this user button, it brings us into the ME selection state, the problem is just that the ME1 selection lost in the selection.

As the ME crosspoint bus has switched to MiniME4 before, so the ME bus could not get back to ME1 for operation. The bus can only switch between MiniMEs.

At this situation, we saved all to Set 0, and then factory reset the switcher, and reassigned the user buttons, then the ME1 selection button was come back. Then we have tried to load the Set 0 options one by one, when load Mems, Cust and PerA from Set 0, the ME1 selection still working normally. Until load "Inst" from Set 0, the ME1 selection was gone just like the attached photo.

So we have to re-config all the source name, MV settings, etc.

Do you have any idea about this symptom? Why did it happen?

Can you give us a link (dropbox or something) to download these settings so we can try to create the issue to look at it?

Also version 12.4 will be up this week!!!!

Hi Les,

For your information, we found that this problem is come out when load a v7.3 saved set to the v12.3 system, as known that it should be forbidden on Carbonite system. Also, the sets of 2-ME Carbontie should not load to 1-ME switcher.

So we don't ever want to block loading of anything when we don't need to.

If I can get that file set then they might be able to figure out how to ensure that as many items recall as possible.

As for the losing of 2ME on 1 ME. Absolutely we want to allow this. Users can edit the custom controls prett easily vs having to rebuild the entire show from scratch.
