  • 1.  Memory attribute recall/no recal question

    Posted 01-12-2014 00:02
    Hi folks,

Built a moving DVE effect on MLE1 using 2 Memory Attribute stores and then putting them in a CC with holds to animate a DVE'd camera shot on and off screen.

This is the old camera shot in keyed DVE box over full screen font.

First memory (8/8) sets the DVE box offscreen, recalling the second (8/9) animates it onscreen.

MLE1 PGM is F1 full as background with the DVE in K1, the DVE fill a camera shot.

    Here's my question...

How do I create/store the Memories so that it doesn't save a specific source for the DVE K1, allowing me to select any camera cross point when I recall the memory?

When I originally saved the Memories I had Camera 1 as my DVE fill, but with the show being fluid I need to be able to recall the memories and be able to select any camera for the DVE fill.

As it stands now I cannot use any other camera than camera 1.

I've tried using the No Recall commands, setting the Key On-Attribute to K1 PGM to "no recall", but they affect all of my other memory stores and CC's universally.

I definitely don't want it to effect any other CC or Memory, just Mems 8/8 & 8/9.

I know there's go to be a way to do this.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks

    Kenneth:

Here is ONE way to do it:

To Set the Key On-Air Attribute

    1. Press RECALL > NEXT > NEXT.

    2. Use the Attrib knob to select KeyBus.

    3. Use the Key knob to select the keyer you want

    to use the attribute for.

    4. Use the Value knob to select whether sources

selected on the selected key bus are recalled.

"¢ Memory "” settings come from the memory

    being recalled

"¢ NoRcl "” sources are not recalled on the key

    bus

"¢ Recall "” sources are recalled on the key

    bus (default)

Another way would to be to change the STATE of the CC - I use the above method. If you would like to affect the state then break open the op manual to page 50.

Hope this answers and helps your out.

    Hi Kenneth,

Adding to what Gordon suggested, you can save both the STORE and RECALL attributes of memories.

Since you said you do not want to affect all memories, just MEM 8/8 & 8/9, you may want to save the RECALL side to Memory - that way when you recall memories, they will be recalled based on how you stored them individually.

On the STORE side, you can set what attributes you want to recall or not recall for each memory. So it sounds like for this particular memory you want to use no recall for Key 1. If you use Dashboard, the Live Assist page will help quite a bit in making sure you have each attribute saved the way you want.
