Johno-
Sounds like for problem #1 you have one to many Key 1 cut state changes in the CC --- I have done it before by mistake. Basically it turns it on and then off again in a blink of an eye. Solution- delete one,
#2 - Just put a Background CUT dialogue in the CC when you want to make the cut and a PAUSE before it. (see below example) -- thus allowing you to select which source you want to cut back to.
BASIC REPLAY IN EXAMPLE:
ME 2 KEY 4 ((source selecting- I flip keyers for different things) media player 1)
Media player 1 (what ever tga sequence I want to run)
Media Player 1 (run)
ME 2 Key 4 (cut)
Pause 20 frames
ME 2 (Background CUT)
ME 2 (Background trans rate 8 ) -- so I can dissolve various sources for replay
ME 2 KEY 4 ((source selecting- I flip keyers for different things) TELE)
Pause 20 frames
ME 2 Key 4 (cut)
BASIC REPLAY OUT EXAMPLE:
PRV - ME1 (I cut my show on ME1 so I put in the CC to select ME1 in PVW on ME2)
ME 2 KEY 4 ((source selecting- I flip keyers for different things) media player 1)
Media player 1 (what ever tga sequence I want to run)
Media Player 1 (run)
ME 2 Key 4 (cut)
Pause 20 frames
ME 2 (Background CUT)
ME 2 (Background trans rate 15) -- so I can dissolve various sources clean or with CG
Pause 20 frames
ME 2 Key 4 (cut)
PVW ME2
NOTE -- The 20 Pauses can be changed to whatever the the underlying cut point is and or how long you need to have the effect to keep showing before the next dialogue is in the CC that turns off the keyer that has the effect.
