the situation cannot be recreated, but randomly during pre-production, our Sony PTZ will start titling down. Right now, the resolution is to reboot the camera.
Where can I get the logs from the dashboard ? anyone have ideas? I am wondering if the com port is failing.

When this is happening is the camera selected as a source and therefore has the joystick assigned to it? Second question is it only 1 camera? When you save the logs they are saved to the USB drive -- you just FTP to it -- user password -- then pull the logs out of the switcher / logs folder.

thanks for the input! it is just one camera. we have told operators to log sufficient notes, but camera is not hot as a source(there fore without joystick). I have done everything possible to re-create but can't. you have to save to a physical USB or saving to USB puts logs into switcher folder? I currently have a USB into the Switcher with our configs, pulling it out will cause more harm then good

You don't need to pull out the USB -- so you only have 1 camera total or this is happening to only 1 camera? You can access the USB remotely using ftp. I use FileZilla as it seems to be the best multi platform ftp client. Connect to the switcher IP address of the frame and use the username user and password password.

Did you first go into dashboard configuration diagnostics and save the logs?

Don't mean to hijack this thread.. but.. we have 2 BRCH900 PTZs, and curious how to hook them up to our Carbonite to get control of them. Can i use the serial port on Carbonite to send RS422 / RS323 to Sony PTZS? Or is this via ethernet ?

You can use the serial port -- it's 422 only. You then have to do the VISCA loop off of it to the Cams. Note that usually you have to pick between either the VISCA controller or the Switcher.

Some facilities installed a 2 by 1 manual Serial switch and they flip it so that either the controller or the switcher is connected.
