  • 1.  BLACK as APLHA channel... auto-key, etc

    Hello,

Working to setup Acuity has been fun but I have a generic Vision/Acuity question...

When defining SOURCE TYPE "VIDEO", I see BLACK as an option as a key signal but not WHITE.

After I setup a basic camera input as an auto-select it will not key unless I make clip/gain to zero.  That means I have to use key-memory to memorize key types.

My question is "should a basic camera source be set as an auto-select source or something else"?

If WHITE was available as an internal-switcher-signal, I would not have to have clip/gain at zero?

    any insight would be appreciated...

    thanks guys

Okay -- Key Mem does not work like that --- Instead the way it works is allows you to set what you would like your clip and gain settings to be for each source.  So when you setup the camera as an Auto Key and you want it to key full (I would just use a PST Pattern Key for this).  However if you use an Auto Key...Set the Key settings then while holding the Auto Select button press the KEY MEM button to learn the clip/gain values.

Now every time you select that source on a keyer the settings will remember for you.
