Hey!
So Im trying to figure out how I can trigger tallys from dashboard.

Here is what I am trying to accomplish… We are a multisite church that broadcasts our messages to our satellite campuses. We have the ability to cue up the decks from the main central campus. I would like to connect a tally light that has the ability to do green, orange and red to our Carbonite frames at our satellite campuses. That way when I cue up the satellite decks I can hit a custom on dash that says ready(green tally), not ready(red tally), or go to backups(orange tally) so the stage can know the status of the stream.

My current thought is try to assign it to a key that I am not using and then using customs to bring it in and out.

I would be very appreciative to any ideas on how to use dashboard to trigger tallys.

Well you could use a "fake Aux Bus". Use an Aux that is not actually in use by that remote Carbonite. Meaning not actually going out an Output.

Now setup your Tallies to be events tied to that Aux --- IE Tally 11 is Input 1 on Aux 8, Tally 12 is Input 2 on Aux 8......etc.

Now you can setup some Custom controls -- or just send the XPT command but I find it easier to build custom controls -- That will set the Aux Bus the the Appropriate Input to trigger your tally.

Now you can build a custom control on the local carbonite to send to the remote device (set up as a RossTalk Generic Device and use the command to send it a CC).

If you want to do it from DashBoard then you can build a panel that sends the CC command to that remote Carbonite.

Does it have to use the tally system? Could you have a Dashboard panel at the satellite that listens to a panel at the main site where you update the panel with the status? We don't have satellite campuses but we do have multiple venues across one campus and I use Dashboard to notify statuses like this by using listeners on custom panels to send data back and forth, which triggers toggles, buttons, etc. to be certain colors or say certain messages.
