  • 1.  Tally when Aux is on source that is live in Program?

    Posted 08-14-2019 18:38

Working with a Carbonite Plus, running 13.0.2.

We have a Panasonic camera controller with GPIO set up so that when a camera is selected on it, the Carbonite is triggered to select the camera on Aux 1 so the operator can see it on a Flanders monitor.

I would like to set up a gpio tally that gets triggered when Aux 1 is on a source (camera) that is live in Program, so that the tally on the Flanders monitor lights up to warn the camera operator that they are about to adjust a camera that is live.

Is this kind of thing possible?

You can setup Tallies to trigger based on multiple Events....However you would not be able to get it to trigger based on the Two Events....

Here what you want is for the Tally to be Trigger for Cam 1 - Cam X when on Aux Y....Which you can do now and add rules in the tally assignment for this.....BUT...You can not add an extra rule to that --- ie IF ON AIR...

You could setup some Project boxes with some AND Gates and then assign 2 Tallies per Gate one for the Camera on Air and one for the Camera when on PGM... That way it will only trigger the event if both are active...

You might be able to build a DashBoard Custom Panel that would do the logic to track the buses and sort out what is what....Then send and event to the Switcher to turn on a Tally that is wired to the monitor...
