  • 1.  Generating Color Bars without using Media Store

    Is it possible to generate Color Bars on a Carbonite Multimedia without using a Media Store?  Can the BG source be set to a SMPTE color bar pattern instead of a solid color?

    I am configuring a Carbonite MultiMedia to work as a temporary replacement for a larger switcher which had 6 Media Stores.  I need to free up as many Media Stores as possible on the Carbonite.

    Hi David,

    The only way to get them is via the Media Store...

    However you could build a Custom Control that will change the Media Store to Colour Bars and then put it on air?  you could share it with another source and flip back?

    If you only need it at the beginning, or a certain part of your broadcast, could you either use dashboard or a custom control to change the media in the media store during production?
