    Hi!

This is a hybrid question for both Rosstalk/Dashboard and Carbonite. Is there a way to query the switcher and get feedback from it via Rosstalk? The first goal would be to get feedback that the switcher is communicating and then feedback of it's current state (what source in on program of ME1, etc) would be great. Are there any commands available for that? Everything we've seen points to one way communication with the switcher.

    Thanks!

    Hi Paul,

RossTalk is a fire and forget control to make it really easy to use....It relies on the TCP/IP guaranteed packet delivery.

If you are looking for status and information then you should be looking at the OGP protocol (that is what DashBoard uses) which would allow you to get access to all of the data you need.  Additionally it does not require "polling" since you would be getting all of the parameters pushed on changes.

You can send us an email at Switchers@rossvideo dot com  ------ don't forget to make the dot a .  before the com :) ----- Then we can get you onto the DashBoard Connect agreement so that you can talk to the switcher just like DashBoard does..
