  • 1.  Media Transition for SD 16x9 on Carbonite

We just switched from SD 4x3 to SD 16x9 (yes, you read that correctly). I tried recreating my media transition animation, but it sets the center way to the right. It still fills the screen, but my logo is not where it is supposed to be.

I created a Media Wipe in After Effects at 1280x720, square pixels, at 29.97 frames. Does anyone know what the dimensions of 16x9 SD on the Carbonite is supposed to be? I'm sure that 1280x720 is too large, as that's HD 720, but all the graphics I created for the XPression are at that dimension and they come out of the Carbonite looking correct.

    Any help is appreciated!

XPression is able to convert the image to match the format your running in.

SD 16x9 is still 720x486 but now your doing a different shape Pixel. Think instead of 1.3 it is .9 or the reverse.

OK, thanks... I'll check it out. Can you also tell me how to release a number on the Media Store? For example, the original media transition I created for 4x3 is at Media 1 on the USB. I'd like the new one to also reside there so I don't have to change my custom controls, but I can't remember how to clear slot 1.

    Thanks!

two ways -- delete the original one from the usb -- if you do this over FTP then pull the usb and put it back in.

Try to load item 1 -- it should then tell you does not exist and give you the option to free up the media ID.

Now you can load your other wipe and under Attributes go ahead and assign it to media ID number 1
