I'm having a reoccurring issue where after Graphite has been running for a couple days and not used, the frame loses its network connection.  At this point the NIC on the Carbonite only has green light blinking, not amber, and Dashboard and CB2 panel can't communicate with it.

I have default / static IPs.

Has anyone seen this?   My only solution is to do a full shutdown, then it comes right back up.

Hi Jason...were you able to ping the Carbonite card when you found out that it lost its network connection? And just wondering... is there any possibility of IP address conflict? Maybe another device with the same IP is plugged into the network, and doing a full shutdown of the Carbonite card would cause it to "retake" the IP address.

    Thanks Aaron, great points

I didn't try to ping it since the amber light on NIC wasn't blinking, I assumed I couldn't ping it.

Theory of another device having same IP makes since.   Any ideas on how to determine?  Recommend changing the static IP on Carbonite card?

    Hi Jason,

Yup, changing the IP on the Carbonite card would be a solution.

Subsequently, if the card loses connection again... physically disconnect the network cable from the Carbonite, and attempt to ping the Carbonite's IP address (the new one). If you get a reply, then you know there is certainly an IP conflict.
