Production Switchers

I'm using Graphite v.2.1 to punch sports in my truck. I cut cameras and add XPression gfx in ME1. For replay, my wipe animation Custom Control performs a cut under on ME2 away from ME1 to my Mira replay channel. The wipe animation comes from XPression and keys K3 on ME2. 

I've read about how difficult it can be to create a super clean feed involving ME re-entries. Is it even possible on Graphite to output an AUX signal that leaves off the keys in ME1 and also cleans ME2 down to and including K3? I use K4 on ME2 as a fade-to-black and I'd like to leave that in the mix.

You can not include k4 of ME 2 into your clean feed.

You could just build a custom control that will transition Clean to Black....That would be another way to always get to black and then your clean feed would have that as well..

As for Removing Keys from ME 1....Well you could have it in your custom control that when you go to Replay you have an Aux Switch from Clean ME 1 to Clean ME 2....Then on the Replay out it would go from Clean ME 2 back to Clean of ME 1.

We added Bus follows in v2.1 (by the way v2.3 is on the website and v3.0 end of this week or early next week!!) with substitution tables...So you could setup an Aux Bus that will Follow the the ME 2 BKGD Bus.  Then setup Substitutions that will sub in ME 1 CLN for ME 1 PGM....That would allow you to follow on the Aux and do the swaps automatically.  Just make sure you make the Aux Source -- ME2 BKGD Follow.

I forgot to add that I want to be covered if I punch in ME2 for anything. So is a super clean feed possible knowing this detail?

I couldn't get my substitutions to have any effect on ME2, which may only affect MiniMEs, not MEs. 

If the Aux Bus as the "source" set to be the Bus Follow of ME 2 BG for Background.

In the Sub menu

New Bus Sub -- ME 1 on Aux 5 (pick any aux you like) replace is ME 1 CLN.

For every other source you would want to assign them to ME 2 CLN....

so CAM 1 - AUX 5 - ME 2 CLN

Now when you would punch up CAM 1 on ME 2 BKGD bus the Aux will cut to ME 2 CLN instead...
