  • 1.  Locked Aux Bus

    Hi, there again. :)
I am really wondering, if it is possible to lock the assigned source to an AUX so as to an operator would not be able to change the source by accidentally.

    Thanks in advance.

There's no way of locking Aux buses on a Carbonite.

If it's always the same source you could set it as part of the R-State of the switcher or you could build Custom Controls to change the sources to what you need them to be which would mean the operator never has to select on an Aux bus reducing the chance of punching the wrong button. I find that once I've selected an Aux source I'm changing the bus to be Key or CC selection so I'm not normally sitting with the AUX bus "live".

You can lock it in a way. Set up your outputs in the menu or Dashboard so that the particular aux output you want has a source assigned in there. When that's done, operators can't override it on the panel. At least, that's my experience with it.

That doesn't "lock" the aux, it is always possible to change a source on a bus if you push the button on the panel.

It can be made more difficult either as I suggested above or by using an Aux bus that isn't mapped as a User button so that it has to be more deliberate for the operator to change it.  I'll often use the highest number Aux bus I have & a CC that also has to be "manually" selected.
