Production Switchers

We have the Crossover Solo 12. We have 6 cameras but only 1 has Genlock.

The Solo 12 only has 4 FSFC internal channels - so I can get 4 to work but what about the other two?

Can someone give me instructions on how I can sync these cameras with the Crossover?

I'm a newbie - so please don't assume anything. :-)

Well you can Genlock the one camera then.  FSFC 4 of the others and then you will have to look for a standalone device that can take Genlock and then do an Inline Frame Sync of the 6th Camera.

Something like an AJA FS-MINI which is a standalone Frame Sync that will accept the Genlock from the Crossover.

I went ahead and purchased the Blackmagic Design BMD-CONVMUDCSTD/HD Mini Converter. It has Reference In and it was several hundred dollars less than the AJA.

If I have any trouble with it, I'll let you know!

I could not find anything that directly states it will work as a Frame Sync......Though doing Frame Rate conversion and Format conversion with a Ref Input definitely implies that.
