  • 1.  Stripping miniME keyer from ME2 Clean Feed?

    Posted 03-02-2020 23:30

    Hello!

We use MiniMEs to pre-key remote sources for a news show. Think location chip over the guest's shoulder.

Is there a way to strip MiniME key2 from the ME2 clean feed?

I thought a substitution table may be the way, but I am a bit confused on how they work.

    Thanks!

    See this thread

    https://support.rossvideo.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360057792091-Can-Graphite-do-a-super-clean-feed-

Essentially you need to move your "clean feed" over to an Aux Bus that will have multiple assignments in your substitution table based on what you select on the ME2 BKGD bus.

Hey Les, thanks for the quick reply.

I read through that thread, but still cant figure out how to build the substitution table.. Here's what I've got---

    MM1 has a key using M1 on key2.

I have built a follow so that MM1pst follows MM1bkg... effectively creating a clean version of MM1.

I would like to use Aux 7 as my Super clean output where MM1bkg is replaced with MM1pst when punched up on ME2 (or Clean which is the clean copy of ME2).

Am I on the right track?? Thank you sir!

I am hoping to get to bring a unit home with me so I can work on some videos again....We have been asked to work from home and not go to the office..

Aux 7 Substitutions would end up having -- everything that is supposed to be clean being replaced with MME BkGD since that source would be the same as a MiniME clean feed (which MiniMEs don't have).

So for a "Super" clean you Aux 7 Following ME 2

Aux 7 subs would have Input 1 - Aux 7 - ME 2 CLEAN....basically for all the inputs you would hot punch you need to sub for ME 2 Clean.

Then for ME 1 if you wanted that to also be clean you would sub ME 1 for ME 1 Clean on Aux 7

For a MiniME you sub for it the MiniME Bus and not a clean as that does not exist..
