  • 1.  Interlaced sources in a 1080 60p Carbonite Black Plus switcher

    I have a question concerning operation of our Carbonite Black Plus switcher. We have configured our system with 1080 60p inputs/outputs. What kind of conversion is taking place when a Grass Valley K2 Summit Production Client server producing 1080 60i video is input to our system. Is the switcher creating 1080 60p video from this source? Are there any other concerns we should have operating this within our 60p infrastructure. We are also using a Ross Ultrix 3G router.

    You will need to make sure that you have the FSFC enabled for that source. It will do a 1080i to 1080p conversion. Also please confirm that you are doing 59.94? Carbonite does not support 60p.
