Production Switchers

Is there a way to change multiviewer setups within a custom control? I'd like to be able to change the layout AND sources within windows. I thought I had seen this done on one of the bigger Ross switchers at one point. I'm hoping this is possible with the Carbonite as well.

I tested this just now for you and it works fine. Start recording a new CC and then make the Multiviewer changes as desired. I did it all through Dashboard because it's so much easier there. Stop recording and you'll have a CC that does those changes automatically.

You could also do it through RossTalk, I use these two commands sometimes:

• LOADSET [setname] - this configuration could have the multiviewers set up to be the way you want, including source mnemonic names
• MVBOX [multiviewer number]:[box number]:[source] - To change a box's source on the fly. Combine this with the MNEM command to rename the source (MNEM [source]:[new name]) and you can have the name on the box update as well (assuming you have the multiviewer configured to show the label)

I guess we were missing a step somewhere. We managed to successfully do this in a CC using DashBoard. VERY helpful for our show this year. My director is quite pleased!
