  • 1.  Recall - grouped vs individual recalls

Carbonite with 8 DVE in MiniME mode.

Setup: I've got a preshow built using 5 DVE + a regular key or two.  Once the show starts, I've got setups on ME1 and some MiniMEs that use 7 or 8 DVEs.  Out of preshow I recall a ME2 setting that "clears" the DVEs being used on ME2 just prior to recalling upcoming memories to free resources (changes all the keyers to auto or self) .

Issue:  when I use the multifunction keys to recall my ME1 and MiniME simultaneously, not all keyers/DVEs fully recall.  eg; MiniME 3 was used in preshow with 2 keys, 1 of them a DVE.   Memory 25 is stored with those keyers off.   When recalled as a group, those keyers are still active.  If I recall MiniME3 25 by itself the keyers turn off and bus is set to Black as defined in the stored memory.

As example of recall simultaneously, I'll light ME1, MiniMe 1 thru 4, and use a bank/memory slot that's stored across all of them in the same position, eg, 25.

What am I missing that prevents a memory on a MiniME from being recalled at the same time with other MiniMEs, but same memory recalls fine if done one at a time?

What version of software are you on?

What are the Recall and Store Attribute settings look like?  screen caps from DashBoard would be good if you can grab some.

    Here's caps for all:

Okay so those attributes look good for the recall side for sure.

However the "Store" side changes with every memory.  You might want to look at them after you recall the memory 25 that you are having issues with.

Another question -- If you recall the memory from within DashBoard (so all the items together like you try to do from the panel) what is the result of that action?

Also if you could capture the "general" Tab of the attribute pages as well?

I try to always check Store side prior to saving, to ensure everything I want to recall is tagged in the memory.

Tried Dashboard, same result as panel.

    Here's general:

Just noticed that when I recall MiniME 3 & 4 #25 together, heys on MiniME 3 do not turn off (as stored in memory).  But if I recall MiniME 2 & 3 #25 together the keys on MM3 do turn off.

I've got a recall on ME 1, MiniME 1-4 all stored on 25 in each register that sets up the next show segment.   (Recap of my OP.)   It would be easier/faster to recall all at once rather than splitting up the recalls on the different effects areas.

Aha, maybe.... MiniME3 is using MiniME4 in DVE key 2 in the setting before recalling #25.  A priority issue?

    Hey Bob....

That could be an issue....But also wondering if there is a difference as well to how MiniME 3 is recalling vs MiniME 4...

Something I guess to check -- do a recall of ME 1 and the MiniME 1-3....Don't include MiniME 4....

basically the Highest ME or MiniME is the "priority" Item....

You got it Les, recalling MM1-3 without 4 worked.

Would "reversing" the MM re-entry flow fix the issue of recalling everything at one time?

    It might...

I am not sure as I don't have the exact hardware to try it out with.  You could just copy and build it all in another set of memories and see it that solves the issues.

I'll give that a go & post results so as to put a pin in the discussion.

    Thanks!
