Production Switchers

We just got our Carbonite online for a new installation so this is my first post!

I've built a button in Dashboard that sends TCP to trigger some of our legacy equipment and it works great in Dashboard.  I'd like to connect this to a custom control so one of the hard buttons on the switcher can trigger the equipment.  How would I go about doing that?
