Aux names in Dashboard

I'd like to add a Label to a panel in Dashboard that shows how Aux outs are routed.  Ideally I'd like to get the source name currently being pushed to each output.  Is there a place I can find that in Dashboard?  I've discovered the Mnemonics section under "Not in Menu" but it'd be nice to know which one(s) to load rather than having to hunt and peck to try to find the right ones.

I also tried pulling the output routing button over from the Outputs panel but the button is blank once I drop it on my custom panel

    Thanks,

    Scott

On the Source "Internal" Page for Configuration you can name your Aux Buses.

They then show up as -- A1:MON WALL (where I named Aux 1 Mon Wall since it feeds my monitor Wall on the set).

In the Live Assist Buses Page the Aux Bus Selector will now show you in the Aux Selector your Aux Bus with the name on the buttons being the A1:MON WALL:SVR2 where the SVR2 is the source I have selected to be on that bus...

    Les,

I'll see if I can pull the names from there. I'm building a custom panel so I want to integrate them on the one I'm building, not just view them on the computer

I guess the "data path" is what I'm looking for

    Thanks!

Using CTRL+I on the Live Assist panel (or any dashboard page of the switcher) will open the Parameter Inspector Mode.  Also if you want under View open the Parameter Inspector Mode so you don't have to open multiple pop ups...

Using that you can find the OIDs that you are looking for.

I found the OIDs but when I assigned them to a Label on my panel it came in as a number.  I double checked the type and it was correct (String), so not sure what's happening?  I'll try again and hope for different results

Go to the Config - Inputs page - Internal

There you can Inspect the Label of the source and get the String from there.

When I go to the Output / Aux page and turn on the inspector it won't let me select any of the buttons or labels.  I can select navigation but that of course doesn't give me the string(s) I'm looking for

    Not in the outputs menu.

Config - inputs - internal. You can inspect the actual label to get the lid of the label.

Thanks so much for the late night response!!  And my apologies, I asked the wrong question.  Your answer above does indeed show me the aux names.

But what I'm looking for is under Config > Outputs > Output 5 / Source so I get the string Aux1:MinME1

That works on the input panel like you described but when I try to do the same on the output panel (to see what's actually routed to the outputs) I can't select anything.  I asked the wrong question earlier, I'm trying to find out what is being routed to the outputs, I didn't realize that was different than the aux routing initially.

You need to pull in the OID of the outputs

And then you need to Over Ride the constraint and force it to a Label..

Use the default Parm above then "place" it so that it pops up the selector

Now we will put Output Source in the Search Bar so that we can find the list of OIDs easier.

    The First Output is 0xD6E

The Fifth Output (first configurable) is 0xD72

    The last Output is 0x218E

It is "invisible" so use the select tool and hover over where you made the "box" as seen above.

    Now lets edit it.

Uncheck the Box circled above and change the type to Label.

Now you will have the Label type and you can then use the style to do what you need with it.

After changing to label type and pressing Apply Changes we will see the Text now visible

Now I have my labels for the outputs

And if I change the output in the config menu ---

And when selecting the different source:

    The custom panel updates instantly

Les, regarding the first example where "A1:MON WALL:SVR2" is displayed on the label, is there a way to only show the source field part (SVR2) so that it could be styled differently or displayed in a different location?

The OID contains all of that Data... I guess you could use visual Logic to extract it and then Truncate it.
