We are trying to create a 4 box with a graphic on top. The problem is that all of our keys are being used for sources.
    For example;
    Key1- CAM 1
    Key2- CAM 2
    Key3-CAM 3
    Key4-CAM 4

Usually with other 2 boxes or 3 boxes we will integrate the graphic on the last Key so it can go on top of the sources, but however with a 4-box since they're all being used for a source we are unsure of where we need to integrate the graphic. We tried to use a Minime key, but it didn't seem to work. If anyone could please help we would appreciate it very much.

Good day, Krissiha. You didn't mention which specific Carbonite you're using, but it appears your station is using a Graphite. Assuming that all four 2D DVEs are available, you could build two of the boxes on a MiniME, then use that MiniME as a source on either another MiniME or on a full M/E. That would free up keyers to allow you to insert the graphic "downstream" of the boxes. For example, select your background source on MiniME 1, then put your first two sources on Keyers 1 and 2, set both Key Types as DVE, then size and position the boxes as needed. Then, select MiniME 1 on either another MiniME or a full M/E. That will show the background and the first two boxes. Using the keyers on that second M/E, add the next two boxes. If you chose to use a full M/E, you should have a keyer available for the graphic. If you chose a second MiniME, simply select that MiniME on either Program or Preset, and use a Keyer from that M/E to add the graphic.
There are several tutorials on our Ross University site, including one specifically devoted to setting up and using MiniME banks. If you're not familiar with them, this would be a good place to start. https://www.rossvideo.com/gallery/minime-configuration-operation/

    Good luck.

    Hi tedd,
One final question! Whenever we go in to try to put the boxes in MiniME3, they're not visible like the other sources in ME. For example whenever we're making boxes in ME with the other keyers we can physically see the boxes on the screen. However with MiniME3, we follow all the same steps and we can't see them, so is there something we're missing? We do have a Graphite Carbonite switcher as well. Thank you for all your help!

Good day, Krissiha. I'm not certain I understand exactly what you're seeing, or not seeing; however, is MiniME 3 assigned to a MultiViewer window? If so, you should see whatever operations you're performing in that MultiViewer window. If the MiniME is not mapped to a MultiViewer window, but is mapped as a button on the panel, you can select it on PVW and, assuming PVW is mapped to one of your MultiViewers, you'd see it there. Of course, if you're not on-air, you can also select the MiniME on PGM and see it on-line. Remember that in order to even select the MiniME, it will need to be mapped to a button on the physical or virtual panel. But no matter what, the MiniME has to be mapped somewhere (panel button or MultiViewer window) in order to see what operations you're performing.

    Good luck.

depending on what desk you have but what we do for that is use your ME 1 not the P/P ME.

so use the ME1 to build your 4 DVE keys in the config that you want and use your P/P ME to drive the graphics over lay.

your ME 1 will be able to run this and not the Minis 1 to 4 as they can only use 2 keys

but you could use two mini MEs to build this .
1.with the use of their 2 keys on each for your cameras so for eg. Mini 1 has cam 1 and cam 2, both on the top half of the the screen for Mini 1.
    2. mini 2 have cam 3 and cam 4 on the bottom half of the it's screen but have Mini one cut on on Mini 2 so that its behind but of your keys on MIni 2
    3. putting one of the  mini MEs in program on the other Mini ME, then take that mini to air on your P/P me and the graphics running through that.

I work in a shopping tv channel and we run our graphics on key 4 on our P/P ME  as then they are always there when needed no matter the shots/ effects running

    hope fully that helps
