While I wasn't there when our TD2 was installed, when I first saw it, PGM was assigned to the top row of buttons, the section that could be interpreted as ME 1 where I use a TD2. But in Touch Drive, it's actually not. It's just a row of buttons. It can be any row you like. PGM/PST, ME 1, or any of the MiniMEs which are, basically, standard MEs but with 2 keyers and no wipe (at least in my config). In effect, the panel is a blank slate and you tell it what you want rows to be. You get a 4 ME switcher in a much smaller space. Start by thinking how you want it to be ... and then configure it that way.
The very top row of buttons of each row, the smaller ones, should have buttons near the left end that say ME PP, ME1, MME1, MME2, and so on. Press those and that row becomes whatever you just chose. The row of buttons closest to you as you sit down as well as the row closer to the top of the switcher act the same way. Lay it out any way you like, as often as you like. I keep the row closed to me as ME PP (old school) and then I am changing the other row all the time, depending on what I'm doing. Keep in mind there is a button over on the memory panel that says "Local Row". If you want the memory panel to be assigned to the same row as the crosspoints row, you press that. You can get crazy on this panel with the crosspoints being on one ME and the memories being on another. Once you get comfortable with that, it comes in handy.
All of this is done on the Touch Drive panel. And it's all customizable. In fact, that top row of smaller buttons are called User Buttons. And in Dashboard, you can map those any way you like. I moved mine around a little bit and just moved the physical keycaps to match. In fact, each row of user buttons can be mapped differently. It can be as simple or as complicated as you like. It's just software. Don't like it, recall your file and poof! back to the way it was.
One of my favorite things about this panel is it can be super easy for people new to switching or flat out nuts for people who get bored .. not that I know anyone like that.
By the way, if you are training staff, show them how to pick their own button colors. I don't know why but that just motivates them to play.

Subject: Assign PGM/PVW to ME 1
Our Carbonite Black Plus came with the default PGM/PVW bus assigned to ME 2. I would like to switch it so that ME 1 controls PGM / PVW. Seems simple enough, but I can't find it anywhere!
We are controlling the frame with a TouchDrive TDS2 panel btw.
