    Hello,

When creating a memory on a Carbonite Ultra using the rave panel, the fader on the rave panel will raise but not raise visibly until touched and then it goes back down to infinity.  Is there any way to overcome this.

Good day, Chris. Its a bit hard to tell, but the video clip you included appears to show that the AFV function is disabled; is that true? If so, the faders won't track because they have no "preset" level to track to. Try enabling the AFV button on the lower left of the fader, then set the audio level and press "AFV Set." Then when you learn a Memory with the source tracked and another with it not-tracked, the fader should jump from infinity to the preset level.
I've learned two different Memories, one with the source tracked and one with it not tracked. With AFV enabled, the fader operates normally. I tested both the virtual DashBoard panel and a physical TouchDrive panel; both appear to operate normally.
    Good luck.

    Good Morning,

The issue is a bug.  When memories are recalled with "Effects Dissolve" selected then the faders on all tabs of the Rave go to nominal.  This means that all of our mix minus on the auxes are feeding back and all of the faders on the main are up, yet the interface does not visually confirm that the faders are up, just feedback coming through the monitors and talent and the record channels hearing them selves.  We confirmed this with support last week.
So the work around is to not use "Effects Dissolve" when recalling or saving, so we have limited the functionality until/if  the issue is resolved.  Kinda frustrating since we are about to go live with 4 of these.

Good morning. Your original e-mail didn't mention Effects Dissolves so I guess I was confused as to what you were seeing. I thought you were trying to learn Memories that tracked or untracked specific sources. Didn't realize you were using Effects Dissolves to ramp from one level to another.

We are using effects dissolve to have dynamic motion for moving DVE sources, but we were not trying to effect the audio sources and nothing from the audio side was being saved, but when recalled the audio side was being dramatically affected.  All of the faders were being raised to 0db though the faders did not visually come up to that position.  We actually had to engage multiple layers of support to find out this bug. Seems like a major one since it affects the functionality of the video/effects and audio side of the switcher.

Chris can you setup a teamviewer on a computer with DashBoard that is talking to the switcher?

Let me know when you can then do a remote session and I will hop on with you...  if you don't care about Audio changing as part of the memories we need to sort out that part.

drop me an email with the details loreilly@rossvideo.com...  I am available now until 2pm.. Then again at 3:30pm onward.

Software Bug has been identified and using Effects dissolve to perform Memory recalls should be avoided currently until this can be resolved with a dot release...
