  • 1.  Carbonite USB content transfer via FTP

    Hello all,

I'm having a problem moving content onto the switcher USB using an FTP connection.  I can copy content from the USB to the computer through the connection but not the other way around.  I've tried the FTP connection on two different machines with same result. I get a gray "no" symbol (circle with cross through) when trying to move items to USB.  Any ideas on that? Interestingly, when I first setup this connection more than a year ago, it worked fine. Hadn't used it much since then.  If I remove the USB from the frame and connect to a computer it transfers fine as well. That makes me think it is not a USB failing issue...maybe.  For reference, logging to USB direct does NOT appear to be turned on under diagnostics.  Read this could prematurely wear a flash drive.

Hi Kian, could you see if the USB drive is formatted as FAT32?

If the USB drive is correctly formatted as FAT32, and you are unable to move content onto it, I would get in touch with Tech Support (https://support.rossvideo.com/hc/en-us) to troubleshoot this further.

Correct it is FAT32 formatted.  It's the original one from years ago.  I do see now it is USB 3.0.  Thought I read somewhere yesterday 2.0 is desired? I may try a different USB flash drive and see if that does anything.  If not, contact support at provided path.
