  • 1.  Memory Recall with effects dissolve turned on alternative?

    Hello.

We are trying to set up a custom control on our Carbonite Black switcher. What we are trying to do is (what we call) "blowback" a video source to reveal a full page video box graphic. Right now the only way I have figured out to do it is to use the "state" effect in the command list. The issue is that that seems to take a general state of the switcher, rather than just the ME bank itself.

Does anyone have an alternative that may work?

Before you store the State in the CC -- Use the State Attributes to turn off the recall of elements that you don't want it to effect.

In the CC DashBoard Menu its the third sub tab -- so next to the editor.

Each State (memory in the CC) can have it's own Attributes thus set those before you insert the state.

Also if you want the Effects recall to happen from one state to the next make sure you insert a pause that will account for the duration of the Effects dissolve before continuing on with additional events.

I don’t know how to add a picture to this post to show you but I don’t have an option to select effect dissolve for just ME1. On the state attribute page on the ME1 tab I have all trans, trans area, Next trans, Run audio, PGM bus, PST bus, and shared pattern. I also have bus, active, type, and mask for all of the keyers.

The only place I can select effect dissolve is on the general tab

Correct -- Effects dissolve will effect the entire "recall".... if you don't want things to take place on ME 1 then turn off all of the attributes on ME 1.  Do the same for all of the tabs that you do not want something to recall on.
