  • 1.  Can't connect Dashboard

    Just bought a new Carbonite Black Solo and cannot connect my macbook pro running Dashboard 8.3.1 to Black Solo running 1.2.1 tried both a PC and Mac. Have tried adding manual connection and it times out. Unable to click Finish. Not sure what to do. Any thoughts.

    So have you tried a direct connection of a cable? I am Mac also on 8.3.1 and DashBoard is working fine. The Solo should be on 192.168.0.123 as the default IP address.

    I am doing a direct connection. Thunderbolt Ethernet is green in preferences on mac. See that ip on the switcher and tried that ip in the wizard in dashboard. Subnet on mac and switcher is 255.255.255.0 no gateway info on mac and switcher. Gonna call in today.

    Okay -- well yes I would call Techsupport. What is the IP address that you gave your computer? Also do you happen to be on Wifi as well? Any chance your WIFI IP address is in a similar range?
