Production Switchers

If I select for output MLE x KyA I get alpha of the selected key (y) only in case of Auto select.

If the keyer is defined as Chroma Key (UltraChrome), instead of alpha is regular picture on this output channel.

Is something wrong in my configuration of Vision mixer or my expectation to get fill and alpha on output bnc from chromakeyer was to much?

Hi Rok,

Setup your "clean feed" output of the switcher MLE to be the "chroma key output".

Or you can setup the switcher to be in Layer mode and use the Layer output. Note though that this may not give you exactly what your looking for.

Can you tell me what your trying to achieve with taking the Video and Alpha out of the switcher? The Chroma keyer in the vision is in the keyers and not a separate "card". Also when we process the video we also generate a video that can be used as an additive key -- unless you turn sensitivity to "low" which will make it a non-additive key.

I have one project, where I will use external equipment for composing. So, because vision mixer has superb Chroma key performance, and also because I don't have any other, I planned to send fill and key channel from each keyer on vision mixer to different BNC output.

So I configure the Vision outputs to have:

bnc out 8: MLE 1 KEY2

bnc out 9: MLE 1 KEY2 Alpha

bnc out 10: MLE 1 KEY3

bnc out 11: MLE 1 KEY3 Alpha

bnc out 12: MLE 2 KEY2

bnc out 13: MLE 2 KEY2 Alpha

In this configuration I get correct outputs for KEYx, but not for KEYx Alpha (in this output is the same picture than in KEYx, i expected that there will be alpha channel)

I understand layer mode, but in layer mode I get only 1 output / MLE.
