we are planning to buy carbonite blackplus but we have an hesitation because when we read the spicifation of the switcher it say 2 or 3 m/e unlike the carbonite ultra the spicification is 1-3m/e and it means the m/e of carbonite ultra is 1 to 3 m/e.... thank you so much and hoping i will get the best answer of my question...

The Carbonite black series can. E purchased as either 2 ME or 3ME. This can also be upgraded in the field if desired.

The Carbonite ultra is able to be purchased as a 1ME or 2 or 3 ME. Also again can be upgraded in the field if needed.

so you mean to say if we buy carbonite black plus, we need to buy the 3 m/e as well so that we will not do the upgrade?

so we need to buy the 3m/e as well? but i've talk to asia pacific tech support and he said that the carbonite blackplus is only 2.5m/e.... the main reason why we want to buy carbonite blackplus because we need a 3 diffrent output in every m/e's

for example: on the first row of the control panel 3x is m/e1, on the second row is m/e2 and on the third is m/e3 and we need to control the source for every m/e's assigned in every row of  carbonite 3x control panel

Yes there is an option for a 3rd ME. Carbonite Black Plus is a 2ME with 4 MiniME base model. Then a license enables the 3rd ME.

Effectively you have 7 mix effects.

The “legacy” Carbonite models were max 2ME with 4 MiniME or you could swap the 4MiniME for a .5ME. Those frames are no long we sold as they were replaced by the new Ultra series.

Ultra can be purchased as a 1ME with 4 mini ME base model and then add additional MEs. These are licenses for the 2nd and 3rd ME.

Further with the black plus and the ultra you do not replace MEs with other options — so with the black Plus you would have a frame sync format converter on all inputs and 12 of the 22 configurable outputs.

The black plus also has 2 system MVs and 3 I/O MV (these 3 are on dedicated Outputs 23-25). None of these features are lost when you add ME 3 to the system.
