    Hi,there.

We have Rossvideo Carbonite Frame with Carbonite Panel, we have faced the bewildered situation which we can not resolve at the moment. All at once the connection between the Frame and the Panel lost and we can resolve the problem. I have attached the pics of the equipment.

The ethernet was connected on the PSL input of the frame and the Panel ethernet input of the panel, everything looks fine but the panel keeps booting and can't connect to the frame. What can be a problem for that ?
    Thanks in advance

That Panel does not have Ethernet on it.

The connection RJ 45 is a Serial Connection that must connect to the FRAME PSL port directly.

Did you check the PSUs for the Panel?  do you have redundant power on the panel or just the 1 supply?  could be that the PSU is not able to supply enough current during boot up if it is failing..

did you try a different cable between them?

Finally please call Tech support as that is Free and they can work with you in real time to trouble shoot things.

    Thanks for reply.

We have troubleshot the Panel, unfortunatly the connection can not be established between the frame and panel, and we are running our events via DashBoard thanks to its advance features.

I realised that our Carbonite Legacy Frame software version is 10.0.0.10084 and as I searched for a new software version, found that upgrade-15.0.4.18626.carbonite was released and we have come to the result in order to upgrade the frame I have some question:

1 ) Currently, 24 internal FSFCs can be assigned to the any physical inputs, was wondering after upgrading the frame the amount of FSFC will not be decreased to 6 FSFCs?

    2) As I mentioned before we are not able to get our panel to its working status so we cannot access to the frame so as to upgrade it , is it possible to upgrade from the frame ? (there is the button for Upgrade) How Upgrading procedure should be accomplished just from the frame?

    Thanks in advance.

You have a Plus frame ...  the 6 FSFC is on the regular NON-Plus version...  You will still have all your FSFCs.

Put the upgrade file on a USB in the Root directly ...  Make sure no other versions are on it as the first one found is what the frame will load..

With the Frame powered OFF ...  HOLD DOWN the upgrade button and the power on the frame button.   Keep the the upgrade button held until the frame starts the upgrade process ..  it's easy to tell if you have a USB with an activity LED since it will start to flicker when the system is reading the usb...  Other wise  LEDs on the main board should start flicking... (in Black and Ultra there are LEDs added for upgrade status)..
