Production Switchers

Hi, first of all I wanted to say that I'm really glad to hear that you're looking at adding output labels to the Carbonite Ultra. That's going to be quite helpful in making IO multi viewer easier to understand.
In our setup we use the Video Processor MultiViewer for primarily cutting cameras and IMAG PGM \ PVW monitoring (as well as some ME re-entry) - my request would be the ability to add the media stores to the IO multi viewer. We don't use them often, but it would still be nice to be able to see them.
The Video Processor MV's are just such a high value area, whereas the media stores are relatively static, so we tend to put computer based sources on those. Being able to move them to the IO MV would really really nice. (I do get understand that it would no longer be a technically a physical IO multi-viewer) 

Other than that, we really love our Carbonite Ultra and TouchDrive. It took a few years, but we got there eventually.

Hi David,

I am sorry but it is not possible to put those on the I/O MVs...  Part of the reason they are I/O MVs is that yes they only get the Inputs and Outputs... but that is because there are 2 FPGAs in the Ultra and 1 is handling the I/O processing and then One is handling the Primary Vid Processing.  The Media Stores are inside of the Vid Proc FPGA and can not get to the I/O MV unless you assign them to an Output directly.

We try to pack as much as we can into the Carbonite Series but sometimes there are a couple of trade offs that have to be made...  In this case they were able to get us 2 more MVs but with the limitation that they could only access the I/O!!

Sorry to disappoint on this request... hope we can come through on others in the future!
