  • 1.  Push-wipe transition [feature request]

    Posted 02-25-2017 01:59
    Hello all,

I'm trying to get a transition to work so that I can animate a new scene in by using a push animation but where the scene passes in front of the old scene or effectively "wipes" out the old scene.

Is there any way to accomplish this without putting every scene on a different layer?

So either add wipes or push wipes as effects or some sort of neat trick to get the same effect?

    Thanks,
    Kenneth

    Maybe used transition logic?
Create In scene director with effects wipes, and another OUT scene director with fade or what You want effect. Then set SD in transition logic in-out.

Yes transition logic is the way to go. Use a Back to Back rule and make sure to turn on "Render incoming scene on top" in the Back to Back rules.

    Hi Garner,
Thanks for your reply. I haven't had the chance yet to look into your suggestion yet until now, but the issue with your suggested solution is that I can't load it on the same framebufferlayer I think. I would have to put it on a layer on top of the scÁ¨ne I want to wipe out.

Since I'm looking into this to show headlines of a newsshow, that could become An issue regarding the performance of the XPression.

If there was a native Wipe-effect, that would be a lot more useful for me.

    Best regards,
    Kenneth
