  • 1.  Adjusting Length of Lowerthird between scene changes

    Posted 12-01-2023 11:55

    Hello,

I am working on an adjustable length lowerthird that gets longer as the text gets longer. I have that working just fine but my goal is that if a lowerthird is already online that it doesnt have to completely animate off the screen but instead adjusts the background of the lowerthird to the necessary length of the new one coming online. I am having issues with the script for this as what I believe I need is to pull the length from the scene coming online and then have that input into a textbox on the scene already online. Then have another script placing that updated value as an end keyframe and the current online scene length as the start keyframe. I have the keyframing working I believe but am unsure what the script would be to pull info from the scene coming online. Maybe a scene in focus command? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is for a bar graph but it should set you in the right direction.

There may be better solutions but this is 1.

Other solutions is to store the old data in a text widget .
