have configured aux source and destination. But how can I router the aux to ultrix-5ru physical output? what am I missing? please advise.

it is an ultrix-5ru unit (64x64) w/ 3x SDPE.

Hi Howard,

How do you intend to perform the aux routing operation? For a start, you could create a soft Panel in DashBoard (Ultrix>Database>Panels) to route the Aux to a Physical Output.

There are other ways to perform routing, e.g. using HyperMax or RCP.

Hi Aaron, yes I have created the soft panel and would like to do AUXs operation via touch drive panel as well. My procedures listed below:

1. create router aux source 1-28, fill in Ultrix-5ru.slot0.virt-in[1].sdi.ch1....virt-in[28].sdi.ch1
2. create router aux destination 1-28, fill in Ultrix-5ru.slot0.virt-out[1].sdi.ch1....virt-out[28].sdi.ch1
3. route source aux 1 to physical Ultrix-5ru out 3 (that works);
4. route source aux 1 to destination aux 1, failed, error code 492
5. the dest aux 1 stucks at source 1

The auxes are virtual. They are meant to be used as placeholders as part of switcher operations. So it is not intended to route an aux source back into itself. Can you help me understand your intent to route source aux 1 to destination aux 1?

Hi Howard,

The auxes can be assigned to Ultrix's physical outputs by using the Soft Panel that you have created. The auxes will be sources and the physical outputs are destination. In fact, you have already achieved this when you routed source aux 1 to physical Ultrix-5ru out 3.

I routed the aux 1 to physical Ultrix-5ru out, but it doesn't work. Whatever I select on aux bus via either touch drive panel or soft panel, the out is always stuck at input source 1.
