  • 1.  Back to Back between 2 different scenes. Animating ON/OFF

    Posted 20 days ago

    Hey all,

Probably an easy one for most of you.

I built a Xpression package with scenes animating IN/OUT using transition logic. On the Animate OUT, I added a Take Offline to the end of the SceneDirector to....take it offline.

But when I try to go from one scene to another, they animated on top of each other and the second scene comes on, but instantly cuts off.

I am assuming this is fixed with the Back2Back "B2B" function, but I am just not experienced enough to figure it out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Tristan!

First; no need to have a take offline command on the end of the scenedirector when using in/out transition logic. You're triggering the out scenedirector by using the take offline command, so we're already in 'taking offline'. That might get you far enough to fix the current situation.

Back-to-back transitions are absolutely for going between two scenes online on the same layer (so by bringing one online, you take the other one offline). I'd recommend you take a look at the Ross U tutorial series on Transition Logic for sure
