Hi Santi,
The Matte Gen option will override the source port, regardless of whether there is an input or not. The Matte Format drop-down allows the desired video format to be chosen; if set to Auto, it will match the incoming video format.

Thanks Alun,
But I think-tell me if I'm wrong-that the way you describe it only works if there's a video signal at the input. If it doesn't detect a signal, it doesn't generate anything at all.
It would be nice to be able to input an image or bars image into Ultrix PNG and have it be assigned to any signal.
Thanks.

Hi Santi,
Ultrix doesn't have a bars & tone generator, but offers the ability to force any source to a matte source, it can be one of:
- Static color
- Static color with bouncing box overlay
- Luma ramp
This can be applied at any physical input port, and will override the input. So, best to use it on an unused input port on the Ultrix frame. This is configured in the Ultrix frame config menu.

Is it possible to generate a virtual source with multi-color bars and 1khz sound virtually in Ultrix?
Or an image loaded previously ?
Thanks.
