  • 1.  Best Way To Transcode Clips Already on a Tria+

I am looking for a way to transcode clips on a Tria+ from 1080i to 1080p while preserving metadata and clips settings.  Any ideas?

We took delivery of our Tria+ a few months ago back when our TV Control Room was 1080i.  Now that we are on a summer hiatus, I am in the process of reconfiguring everything for 1080p59.94.  Changing the Tria+ to 1080p was very easy, but now all the 1080i clips are no longer playable.  There are ~100 clips on our Tria+ that we want to keep around.  Is there a way to transcode these on the Tria+ to 1080p59.94 while preserving all the clip settings and metadata (i.e. loop settings, recording dates, etc)?  These clips are mostly educational materials and example shows which will not make it to air therefore I am not too worked about quality loss during transcoding.  Thanks for your help!

    Hi David,

Unfortunately, there is no way to convert in Tria+.
You can reimport the original clips or you can export the clips that you have in Tria+ in .mxf, then reimport them while running the Tria+ in 1080p.

    I hope that help.
    Thanks!
