Yes it will but you might be able to setup a Substitution to send BK to Key one on ME 1 :)

Then yes you would have ME 1 following the PGM ME and since Key 1 has black on it then you would have a transparent key. effectively building that Programable Clean Feed.

Gotcha, thanks for the quick response Les.
If I did an ME follow I know my bus sources will follow. But would the key source follow as well? So if I have ME2 follow ME1. If I turn Key 1 on ME1, it should turn Key 1 on ME2 but in theory I could change the source for ME2's Key 1, right? So I could set a blank keyer there? Or would that not work with a Carbonite?

Only Carbonite Ultra 60 has a programable Clean feed that would allow this kind of configuration.
The 24 Input version has a selectable clean feed which can only pick before a key and all other below are kept.

I'm on a Carbonite. I have a sport show where Key 1 is the bug and sometimes graphics, Key 2 is graphics, and Key 3 are my wipes.
I need to send 2 feeds. One is Program that utilizes all 3 keys. The other is a "clean" feed without the bug, which lives on Key 1. I just read the manual and I'm not sure if it's possible to exclude Key 1 only. Without switching my keyer sources around, what would my alternative be?
Thanks
