Production Switchers

Trying to figure out how to build a clean feed on the Acuity the same way I would on another switcher.
Essentially, I looking for my Clean Feed to take the Clean version of an ME when I take the ME. Basically, if I take ME3 PGMA, on Program, I would like the Clean Feed (Program C) to take show ME3 PGMC. I know how do this on a Grass Valley or Sony switcher, but I cannot figure it out on the Acuity.

Hi Philip,
What you are trying to do requires bus follows, the way we do bus follows in Acuity with source substitutions is by creating different bus maps and assigning them to the corresponding buses. The way we do bus follows (Auto follows as we call them) is by having panel buttons follow each other across Buses. 

Create your primary bus map using MEx PGM A, then create a second bus map and swap MEx PGMA for MEx PGMC (Make sure they land on the same button). This secondary bus map can be applied to any bus, an Entire ME, an Aux bus, or even a key bus of a certain ME.  Be sure to apply both Bus maps to their appropriate Buses / ME's

Then go to the autofollow setup menu (Home > Setup > Personaily > Autofollow setup > And choose ME if you want to have ME's follow or choose Buses if you are looking to have an Aux follow an ME.

Lastly in the same menu under config, set AutoFollow Panel to 'ON'.  Note the setting in the menu also allowing Custom controls to be allowed in auto follows.

Hopefully this gets you on the right path.

This is exactly what I was looking for. So I guess the best option would be to set my Program C to the Utility Bus. Set the Utility bus to auto follow, but replace ME1 PGMA with ME2 PGMC on the same button. Then set up my "clean" versions of ME1 and ME2 on the PGMC of each MLE?

Yes, however, i would be sure to set both PGM ME PGM A (Echo From) > PGM ME PGM B (Echo To) and then do the same for the preset buses.  I would also select PGM A / B.in the transition area to make sure everything transitions properly.

*This is assuming you have split ME Mode setup

I have run into an issue with this solution. I can assign the alternate Bus Map to ME4 Utility, and I can set ME4 PGMC to U1/U2. My problem is that ME4 Utility does not appear in the Auto-Follow selection (all other ME Utility busses are there). Is this another setting somewhere or a limitation? I can manually cut sources on the utility bus on ME4 so it works. I just cannot set it in Auto-follow.

Just to reiterate my goal, I want my ME4 PGM C to be identical to my ME4 PGM A with the exception of substituting ME* PGMC for ME* PGMA. All the ME4 DSKs need to be included in the ME4 PGM C version as well. I probably should have mentioned in the original post, but this all needs to work via #OverDrive as well. Not sure if that changes anything.

Once you setup a split ME they change names from Utility 1/2 to Program B and Preset B in the auto follow menu. However, other places in the menu system they may still show up as U1 / U2

Unfortunately i'm not an OVD expert so if there are any limitations with OVD and this workflow, i'm not aware of them. You may want to make sure that Custom controls and Editors is on in the auto follow menu.
