  • 1.  Can a Custom Control enable "Touch Lock"?

    Posted yesterday

I need to make a custom control that enables the "Touch Lock" button on a Touch Drive (connected to an Ultrix Carbonite).  Is it possible?

Students in our introductory classes keep accidentally hit the screens and changing the bus map.  I want to make a reset custom control that triggers the Rstate and ensures the Touch Lock button is on

It is not possible for the Custom Control to send those events.

Those kinds of events are contained inside the panel and are not messages that are available in side of the custom control to be sent to the panel.

Custom Control Events are all frame side (it's not a panel sending key stokes and button presses) the CC is told to run by the panel but the contents are not known by the panel.

We will add a request into the system regarding disabling of TouchMap.  Disabling the touch all together will take away things like Media Menu Follows by taping the screen above the xpts or keyer control and transition control area menu navigation and control.

I second the request to disable the touch map function.  I never use it and every day I have to fix the bus map where someone has accidentally deleted one or more sources from the switcher panel.
