DashBoard Version 6 is really old .. I would recommend that you update your DashBoard to version 9.10.x

Also if you can open a web browser and connect to the IP address of the switcher it should provide the Media Manager Web interface. Does that work?

I've got a Carbonite 4802AR and am trying to connect to it through a Blackstorm running Dashboard v6.0. It shows the device as online, but it has an error initializing card, and won't show any other info. I've upgraded the Carbonite to 15.0.3 and that didn't seem to help.
