Subject: Carbonite Ultra 60 Framestore horizontal shift
Hi Les,
Thank you for your response.
I haven't opened a support ticket yet.
The jump I refer to is not due to the 1 frame of delay. It is a horizontal shift to the right.
I've tried to include a video to help illustrate the problem-hopefully you're able to view it.
Let me know if you'd recommend opening a ticket at this point.

Hi Marius,
We have not heard about this horizontal shift on 3G or even 12G sources. We will look into this. Have you opened a ticket with Support regarding this?
as for the "jump" you are seeing. Frame Syncs and Format conversions require 1 frame of delay to process the video and align it to system time. There is no way to "work around this" sources that are up converted or frame synced will be 1 frame of delay behind.

Subject: Carbonite Ultra 60 Framestore horizontal shift
Hi,
We've recently purchased a Carbonite Ultra 60 and are currently operating it in UHD. Our setup includes a mix of 12G and 3G video sources, with the 3G sources being upconverted at the input stage of the Carbonite.
We've encountered an issue where applying input conversion to the 3G sources causes the video to shift slightly to the right, resulting in a thin black vertical line on the left side of the image.
Additionally, when cutting between a native 12G source (which is in sync) and an upconverted 3G source, there's a noticeable jump between the two signals, suggesting a mismatch in timing or processing delay.
The Carbonite is genlocked to our SPG via a 1080p50 reference. We also tested with 1080i50, but the issue persists.
We've found that enabling frame sync on the 12G signal fixes the jump, but the small black line on the left side remains visible on 3G input and now also 12G input.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a workaround?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
